SpyGadgets.com Security Camera Captures Rare Bolide Meteor - Marana, AZ

Tucson AZ, - June 24, 2009

The founder of SpyGadgets.com never imagined one of his security cameras would capture
a rare meteorological event but on Tuesday night it happened. Darting across the
southern Arizona sky a rare meteor, commonly known as a Bolide, lit up the surrounding
landscape and caused a small panic among the few who were lucky enough to witness it.
Just for fun Jon Marshall, founder and CEO of SpyGadgets.com reviewed the video
footage from a camera normally used to secure his home.

"It was amazing! I was watching TV when all the sudden the back yard
lit up and I saw a white and green glowing streak out the window! I didn't think
too much of it until I heard Chuck George on KOLD 13 describing what a rare event it was.
I instantly went and checked an old security camera I use to watch the driveway and to
my amazement it captured the Bolide on tape", recounts Marshall.

Slightly embarrassed about the relatively low quality of the video, Marshall says that
people are no longer using tape and have opted for digital media. The embarrassment
was short lived upon discovering just how significant of an event this truly is. After
speaking with Geoffrey Notkin from the Science Channel show Meteorite Men he learned that
the last Bolide to be captured on video was from a police cruiser's dash cam in Canada
a few years ago.

"I feel honored that my home security camera was able to capture this brief moment
for the world to see. Hopefully the researchers can use this video in conjunction with eye
witness accounts to locate the meteorite", says Marshall.

With the proliferation of security cameras and lower costs the SpyGadgets.com owner
says he's surprised nobody else has come forward with a video yet.
