For the very first time we are offering a simple, budget friendly, color spy camera that records full motion video to a SD memory card. Simply place the spy camera that looks like a simple desk clock anywhere and hit the activation button. Color, motion activated video will be saved to a SD memory card that you can download and view back on your PC. Video clips are time and date stamped just in case you take the video to court.

This little desk clock Mini Color Spy Camera is perfect for an office environment or location that is well lit. It does not perform that well in lower lighting situations (Example videos coming soon). The clock is in the 24 hour format and not AM/PM so expect to be able to do some math in your head. Simply add or subtract 12 and you'll know the current, non-military time.

How it works
A tiny pinhole spy camera on the face of this mini desk clock is always watching for movement. As soon as it sees movement it begins to save the event to a SD card stored in the rear of the clock. Once the color spy camera senses that the movement has stopped it will wait a few seconds and go back into standby mode.

How do I view the video?
Simply remove the SD card from the back of the system and insert it into your SD card reader for your PC.
You can view the video using a few different programs. VLC Player is our favorite and is a free download or you can dowload the FFDShow Codec for free to work with Windows Media Player (all available by searching Google).

How long will it record?
Recording time depends on the quality of the video you set and the size of the SD card you use. Each color spy camera comes with a 1GB SD memory card that is capable of recording for over 15 hours at 160 X 120 resolution at 15 frames per second. You can use a card from 128MB all the way up to 32GB.

1 GB Card = 160 X 120 @ 15FPS --- 15 Hours or 7.5 Hours at 30FPS
1 GB Card = 320 X 240 @ 15FPS --- 7.5 Hours or 3.5 Hours at 30FPS
1 GB Card = 640 X 480 @ 15FPS --- 3.75 Hours or 1.75 Hours at 30FPS

Using simple multiplication we see that with a 32GB card we can record up to 480 Hours of video at the lowest quality setting or 56 Hours of video at the highest quality setting. Most people typically get an extra 8GB memory card and capture over 14 hours of high quality video.

What in the world does FPS mean?
Frames per second. Your TV that you watch at home sends 30 frames per second to the screen which is the standard for real time video. At 30FPS your spy camera footage will be just like watching normal, fluid motion. At 15FPS is will look slightly choppy but it's not that bad. We'll have samples available soon.
