Pen Recorder
This
is the non-covert version of our popular no
lights digital pen recorder. A small flashing light is visible on the outside
of the pen to indicate recording or playback status. Most people use a small
piece of black tape to cover the light when in use. With 1GB of memory
you can record up to 64 hours of digital voice but keep in
mind that the battery life is about 4 to 5 hours between charges.
Use it Anywhere
While we market this as a digital
voice recorder it is also a great MP3 player! One of our best customers uses
this pen while traveling and jam packs the memory with her favorite music. It's
perfect for waiting at the airport or while on the plane. When you do use it
as a voice recorder you will capture crystal clear audio.
How far does
it pick up voice?
This is by far one of the most common
questions we get and the answer is, depends. Digital recorder microphones are
only as good as the environment in which they're placed. If you are in a crowded
bar or nightclub with bone rattling bass pumping in the background and expect
to record a conversation then you've been watching too much CSI. The microphone
in these pens is sensitive. Than means it picks up EVERY noise in the environment.
If you are riding along in a car and have this pen tucked away in your purse,
the radio on, a/c on high, and are whispering to your passenger you will not
get a good recording. On the other hand if you set it in the cup holder or clip
it to the visor you will most likely get a pretty good archive or your recording.
How many
buttons does it have?
There is a single, five position
switch right above the clip that is used to activate the pen. Status
lights on the side will let you know if you are recording voice, playing voice
back, or playing MP3's. Competitors selling this same pen would lead you to
believe that all you have to do is push the button to activate it and that's
it. To an extend that is true but you have to pay attention to the lights. If
you want a no light pen with one button activation then look at our MemoQ
Digital Pen Recorder.
How does
it work?
You simply charge the pen
with the USB port on your computer for couple of hours and remove it
before use. To activate the voice recording or music functions simply use the
5 position switch and view the status lights. To download what you've recorded
or upload music or files your computer treats this just like a thumb drive or
external hard drive. Drag and drop files just as you would
with any other external disk.
