Does my computer have to be on all the time to record the video?
No. You don't even need a computer at the location you want to monitor. All you need is an internet connection with a router that has an extra ethernet port.
What if I don't know how to configure a router?
Even if you don't know what a router is, our techs can help you with the setup over the phone. The system comes with good instructions that just about anyone can follow. Worst case scenario you could have your local computer store or Geek Squad come out and configure it.
How is this different from other Nanny Cams?
This system is made with law enforcement grade parts by a manufacturer here in the U.S. It is not a cheap knockoff from some unknown supplier overseas. This nanny cam is for the parent who needs serious surveillance to ensure their child is taken care of properly by a caregiver.
Does it record the video or do I have to watch it the entire time?
There is a SD card slot protected by a locking door with key on the receiver unit. It records motion activated video until the motion stops. You simply plug the receiver / recorder into your internet router, complete a simple setup, and leave it alone. The system will do the rest of the work.
Can I watch LIVE and RECORDED video remotely?
Yes. You can watch recorded and live video from a PC, MAC, iPhone or other Smart Phone with internet access.
Can anyone else watch my video?
No. You can assign your own username and password so only you and those you give the information to can view your video. And if you ever want to ensure that the video is 100% private you can simply unplug the internet connection and the system will continue to record video when motion is sensed.
What if the Nanny Discovers the Camera?
This alarm clock looks just like any other alarm clock on the shelf at your local big box store. If someone discovers the camera and destroys it you will still have the video evidence stored away from the camera wherever your internet router is located, preferably a closet or behind a desk.
