Spy Camera Basics |
|
| What you need to know | |
| Selecting the right spy camera | |
| There are almost as many spy cameras as their are cars to drive. Don't let the various options and technical terminology scare you away. As with anything worth learning, this will take a little effort on your part. The research you are doing right now will make you an informed consumer. And we all know the more you know the better off you are. | |
| Quality "Ours is better than theirs......" | |
| If
you've been searching the internet for a spy camera you have undoubtedly
come across MANY websites claiming to solve your surveillance problems for
$29.95 or sometimes less. If you've fallen for those pop-up banner ads
blazing scantily clad women you already know what kind of quality you can
expect. Most internet retailers are just huge conglomerates that have added security and spy equipment to their line of goods that has no relevance to their main product line what-so-ever. We specialize in spy equipment. It's all we do and all we've done since 1998. What separates your shopping experience here from that of everywhere else is that we have the experience to answer all of your questions and get you the right equipment for the job. We will never leave you guessing or hanging out to dry with a product that doesn't work. |
|
| The least you need to know | |
| CCD and CMOS technology (the stuff that makes up spy cameras) has come a long, long, way in the past few years. Each and every system you buy from us will give you a good, if not excellent image. The number of times a customer calls in to say, "Wow! I don't believe the picture quality!" cannot be counted. We have thousands of satisfied customers and we're adding more to our list every day. | |
| Wired vs. Wireless vs. Cordless | |
| You
need to understand that there are 3 different types of setups.
Wired - have a wire that stretches all the way from the camera itself to your VCR or TV. They also have a power supply that plugs into an A/C outlet. Wireless - still require a power source. On almost every system you will have to plug it into the wall or use batteries while a separate receiver system attaches to your TV or VCR. Cordless - require power also but use batteries or battery packs. There is NO wire running to a power supply plugged into a wall. |

| The Law and You | |
| Society and law enforcement are becoming fed up with the illegal use of this equipment. Seemingly ordinary people are turning into convicted felons for improperly photographing unsuspecting people in places where they expect a reasonable amount of privacy. When in doubt, contact a lawyer in your city. | |
