EOP Expectation-of-Privacy Sweep Kit EOP Expectation-of-Privacy Sweep Kit SpyGadgets A Repeatable Privacy Check for Private Rooms EOP is a routine check for in-house staff after a short briefing. It is aimed at a small consumer recorder left in a restroom, changing room, locker room, gym, hotel, or similar private area. It is not a professional sweep system, and it does not identify every possible threat. The routine is three steps. Sweep for RF in live mode with the signal detector, rated up to 10 GHz. Check vents, fittings, mirrors, shelves, and ceiling edges with the lens tools. Write the check down. The kit lists a clip-on lens attachment plus two handheld finders, a SpyFinder and a SpyFinder PRO, in a Peli-style case with batteries. Live RF only flags something that is transmitting, and only if that signal stands out from whatever else is in the room. A camera that is off, or that records locally and does not transmit, is an optical problem. That is why the lens tools are in the case. The kit does not give staff authority to enter a space.
